Almaviva is the flagship wine of the Almaviva estate and one of Chile’s most acclaimed Bordeaux-style blends. Produced in the Puente Alto area of the Maipo Valley, it is based primarily on Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Carmenère, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Merlot.
The wine reflects a careful balance between power and elegance, shaped by stony alluvial soils and the cooling influence of the Andes. Vinification is precise and focused on expressing terroir rather than extraction, followed by 18-20 months of aging in new French oak barrels.
Aromatically, Almaviva shows ripe black fruit, herbal and spicy nuances, and subtle oak integration. On the palate, it is structured and refined, with polished tannins, freshness, and a long, persistent finish.
Designed for longevity, Almaviva consistently ranks among Chile’s most collectible and age-worthy wines.
