Alves de Sousa is a family-owned wine producer based in Portugal’s Douro Valley with a winemaking tradition that spans five generations. Today the winery manages several vineyards across the Douro, including the well-known estate Quinta da Gaivosa, each representing different microclimates and soil conditions typical of the region’s steep schist slopes.
