Bràulio is the original version of this renowned alpine amaro, produced according to a secret recipe created in 1826 by pharmacist Francesco Peloni and brought into commercial production in 1875. It is made from more than twenty mountain herbs, roots, and berries, among which wormwood, gentian, yarrow, and juniper stand out.

The process involves macerating the selected ingredients in an alcohol base, followed by aging for up to two years in Slavonian oak barrels, which imparts depth and complexity to its flavor. Visually, it presents a deep amber color with reddish highlights.

On the nose, it offers intense herbal notes with fresh menthol and subtle woody tones. On the palate, it is a harmonious balance of bitter and sweet, with a long, refreshing finish reminiscent of a mountain forest.

It is most often enjoyed neat, at room temperature or slightly chilled, and also works beautifully as an ingredient in cocktails with a distinctive alpine character. Bràulio remains true to its origins and represents the cornerstone of the brand’s identity, preserving tradition and authenticity for nearly a century and a half.
