Ammousa is a premium independent Greek craft brewery based in Patras, Peloponnese, founded in 2016 by mechanical engineer Georgios Ntanos.

The company began as a homebrewing passion project in a house basement in 2016, transitioning to commercial artisanal production in early 2019. From its inception, Ammousa's core philosophy has been to bridge two intertwined culinary arts: craft brewing and high gastronomy, proving that beer is an intricate element designed to pair with fine food. The brewery uses high-quality raw ingredients and natural flavor additions, such as fresh ginger root, real vanilla, and single-origin specialty coffee. In 2026, Ammousa established a unique flavor partnership with the international coffee chain Coffee Island, harmoniously blending their Single Estate Colombia Huila specialty coffee into the Tropical Stout recipe. Today, Ammousa beers are featured in top Michelin-starred and fine-dining restaurants across Greece, including Spondi, as well as selected gourmet cellars and supermarket chains.

Ammousa has established itself as one of the most decorated Greek craft beer brands, boasting a total of 33 prestigious national and international awards (25 for the English IPA and 8 for the Tropical Stout). Its achievements include major honors at the Great Taste Awards in London, European Beer Challenge, World Beer Awards, London Beer Competition, Olymp Awards, and multiple top distinctions at the Athens Fine Food Awards (AFFA).
