M Fine Mavroudi is a premium red wine from Anatolikos Vineyards in Thrace, made exclusively from the indigenous Mavroudi grape and reflecting a strong focus on terroir and organic viticulture. It originates from vineyards in the Avdira area, where sandy soils, maritime influence, and steady winds contribute to balanced ripening and concentration.
The winemaking process includes cold maceration and fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by extended aging of around 18 months in French oak barrels on fine lees, without filtration before bottling. Aromatically, it is complex and layered, with notes of ripe black fruits such as plum and blackberry, alongside dried fig, cedar, cocoa, coffee, and subtle spice and toast from oak aging.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with refined tannins, balanced acidity, and a deep, concentrated fruit profile. The finish is long and persistent, with earthy and slightly savory nuances adding to its complexity.
Overall, it is a powerful yet elegant wine with good aging potential, well-suited for pairing with red meats, game, slow-cooked dishes, mushrooms, and aged cheeses.
