BabuLong is a Taiwanese premium natural mineral water brand founded in 2020 by physician and entrepreneur Chen Wu-kang. The brand was created following his exploration of natural water sources and the discovery of water in the mountainous Dashanbei area of Hengshan Township, Hsinchu County. The source is located in a forested section of Taiwan’s Central Mountain Range that is protected as a water conservation area. The water passes through ancient layers of porous basalt that naturally filter it and enrich it with minerals and trace elements. Laboratory testing conducted by the American laboratory Beta Analytic indicated that the water had remained within the underground formations for approximately 4,500 years. After discovering the source, Chen Wu-kang acquired the surrounding land to control and protect the water’s area of origin. A bottling facility was built near the source, and the water moves through a closed system from extraction to the sealing of the bottles, limiting its contact with air. BabuLong is positioned primarily in the premium market segment and is available through specialty retailers, hotels, restaurants, and gastronomic events. Its range includes still natural alkaline mineral water in several bottle sizes, as well as a sparkling version and limited-edition packaging. BabuLong is a member of the Fine Water Society, an international organization that brings together premium water producers distinguished by their natural origin and mineral composition.
