Bafarat is a Saudi family-owned company founded by Omar Ahmed Bafarat in 1952. It began as an importer of coffee, tea, spices, and aromatic herbs from different parts of the world. Over time, the company developed a retail network and became well established in Jeddah and other Saudi Arabian cities. After the founder’s death, management passed to his sons and grandsons, allowing Bafarat to remain a family-run business. The company is headquartered in Jeddah. Coffee represents one of the most important parts of its range alongside spices and herbal products. Bafarat does not cultivate coffee but sources green beans from international coffee-producing regions. The selected beans are roasted and prepared for different brewing methods. The company developed its contemporary café concept by opening a location in Jeddah in 2016. Its menu includes espresso-based beverages, manually brewed coffee, traditional regional drinks, and pastries. Today, Bafarat combines Saudi family-business traditions, international sourcing, coffee roasting, and modern hospitality.
