Spicy top fermented single-bock, made according to the world-famous purity law for German beer of 1516, which stated that the only ingredients used for the brewing of beer must be barley, hops and water. Weihenstephan Monastery Brewery, in Freising, close to Munich, is the oldest brewery in the world.
Weihenstephan beer was born in 1040, when Arnold abbot succeeded in obtaining the license to brew and sell beer.
