Bell Hill Vineyard is a boutique, cult-style winery located in the Weka Pass area of North Canterbury on New Zealand’s South Island, established in 1997 by Marcel Giesen and Sherwyn Veldhuizen on a lime-rich, limestone quarry site that strongly influences the character of its wines. The vineyard itself is very small and planted at high density in a Burgundian model, with vines close to the ground to maximise ripening and site expression.
