Kanaan Winery, established in 2011 by Wang Fang, is a boutique winery located at the picturesque eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains in Ningxia, China. The winery spans approximately 16 hectares and has an annual production of about 100,000 bottles, making it one of the most renowned boutique wineries in China. Wang Fang, also known as "Crazy Fang," is recognized for her bold and unconventional winemaking approach. Coming from a family with a rich winemaking heritage—her father being one of the pioneers of fine wine in Ningxia—she combines traditional techniques with innovative methods to produce wines of exceptional quality. Kanaan Winery has garnered numerous awards in both domestic and international competitions. Helan Qingxue Vineyard, the first demonstration vineyard in Ningxia, is located at the foot of Helan mountain at an altitude of 1,138 metres. With a 2.6-hectare vineyard of Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Marselan, Malbec among other varieties, the winery produces 60,000 bottles of wines per year. In 2005, two legendary figures in the local wine industry, Rong Jian and Wang Fengyu, accompanied by a young winemaker, Zhang Jing, founded the winery, inviting Professor Li Demei to be their wine consultant. Helan Qingxue Vineyard shows full respect to nature and the soil and is regarded as one of China’s great wineries. Ren Yi Yuan Vineyard was founded in 2010 and is located in the Jinshanzi wine region at the Helan Mountain's East Foothill in Ningxia. It is an experience-based winery that integrates grape planting, wine production, wine tasting and sales, wine culture promotion and sightseeing tourism. In the 2021 Ningxia Helan Mountain's East Foothill winery classification , Ren Yi Yuan Vineyard was rated as a fifth-class winery. Renyiyuan Winery is completely embraced by the Helan Mountains, with the main ridge of the Helan Mountains behind it towering majestically, with thousands of ravines and rocks, and shrouded in clouds and mist. The winery is mainly in wine red and Helan Mountain rock color, which matches the red wine and Helan Mountain rocks. The blue-gray roof slopes are integrated with the vast Helan Mountains, showing the winery's awe of the Helan Mountains and its love and persistence for wine. The winery's vineyard is also one of the filming locations for the TV series "Hometown of Stars".
Chandon China, officially known as Domaine Chandon China, is a prestigious wine estate and the first branch of the global Domaine Chandon brand in China. It was established in 2013 by the luxury group LVMH Moët Hennessy. Located in the Ningxia region of China, this winery represents a fusion of French tradition in sparkling wine production and the unique Chinese terroir. The estate focuses on crafting sparkling wines using the traditional method, primarily from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. Its vision is to contribute to the development of Ningxia as China’s version of Napa Valley. The winery is led by experienced local professionals, including winemaker Aiguo Liu and estate director Su Long, supported by the international expertise of the global Chandon network.
