Nước Tương Lá Bồ Đề is a naturally fermented soy sauce produced by the Vietnamese company Bình Tây Food. The product is primarily intended for vegetarian diets but can also be used as an all-purpose seasoning. It is made from carefully selected soybeans that undergo fermentation for several months. During maturation, the sauce develops its dark color, fermented soybean aroma, and pronounced umami character. It has a fluid but slightly thick consistency suitable for both direct serving and cooking. Its flavor is salty and full-bodied with mild natural sweetness in the finish. The product takes its name from the leaf of the bodhi tree, which has long been part of the identity of Bình Tây Food’s vegetarian range. It can be served as a dipping sauce with rice, vegetables, tofu, spring rolls, and other dishes. The sauce is also suitable for marinating ingredients and preparing stir-fried, braised, boiled, and roasted dishes.
