Treinta y Dos Pinot Noir is one of the flagship wines of Bodega Chacra and a pure expression of an exceptional single vineyard planted in 1932 in the Río Negro Valley of Patagonia. Made exclusively from 100% Pinot Noir sourced from ungrafted, old vines, the wine reflects the depth and balance that only mature vineyards can provide.
The site’s alluvial soils, composed of clay, sand, and river stones, contribute to both structure and pronounced mineral tension. The cool, dry Patagonian climate with strong diurnal temperature variation allows for slow ripening, preserving freshness and aromatic clarity.
Vinification is carried out with spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention to maintain authenticity and terroir transparency. The wine is aged for approximately 18–19 months in a combination of concrete and used French oak barrels, avoiding overt oak influence.
Aromatically, it shows layers of red cherry, wild strawberry, and raspberry, complemented by subtle floral, earthy, and spice notes. On the palate, Treinta y Dos is elegant and finely textured, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, precise finish marked by minerality.
It combines delicacy with inner strength, offering excellent aging potential while remaining expressive in its youth. This wine is widely regarded as one of the most refined and distinctive Pinot Noirs produced in Argentina.
