Bodega Contador is a renowned family-owned winery from the Rioja region, founded by Benjamín Romeo, one of the most influential contemporary winemakers in Spain. The project began in the mid-1990s in a small cave beneath the castle in the village of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, where the first wines were produced under the name La Cueva del Contador.
