Quo Vadis Vors from Bodega Delgado Zuleta is an exceptionally mature Amontillado sherry bearing the Vors designation, which confirms an average ageing of more than 30 years, and in practice often significantly longer thanks to very old soleras in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Made from the Palomino grape, it undergoes two key stages of maturation - first biological ageing under flor, followed by a long oxidative phase - giving the wine its distinctive balance of finesse and depth.
In the glass, it shows a deep mahogany color with copper reflections, typical of sherries aged for decades in oak. The aromatic profile is layered and complex, with pronounced notes of walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts, complemented by nuances of dried fruit, coffee, vanilla and subtle tones of old wood.
On the palate, it is completely dry, powerful and concentrated, yet well balanced, with a persistent freshness that prevents any sense of heaviness. The texture is smooth and rounded, while the flavors unfold gradually, leading to a long and warm finish.
The oxidative character is clearly defined but precise and elegant, without rough edges. Within the Delgado Zuleta range, Quo Vadis holds a special place as an example of extremely long ageing and the continuity of historic soleras.
