Bura Dingač is a premium red wine made from the indigenous Plavac Mali grape, grown on the steep, sun-drenched slopes of the protected Dingač appellation on the Pelješac Peninsula. The wine matures for 10 months in a mix of French, American, and Croatian oak barrels, followed by an additional 16 months of bottle aging, which enhances its depth and complexity.
Visually, it presents a clear ruby-red color with purple hues and medium concentration. The nose is intense and layered, offering aromas of ripe dark plums, blueberries, dried figs, carob, and violets, accompanied by subtle notes of cocoa, dark chocolate, vanilla, red pepper, and clove.
On the palate, it is dry, warm, full-bodied, and rich in texture, with ripe, smooth tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is long, spicy, and elegant, leaving a harmonious and structured impression.
It is best served at 16 °C in a wide glass, without the need for decanting, and pairs beautifully with red meats, aged cheeses, and dark chocolate. The wine is ready to drink but has aging potential of at least ten years.
