Cadí is a Spanish dairy cooperative based in La Seu d'Urgell, Catalonia, founded in 1915 as the first dairy cooperative in Spain. It brings together dairy farmers from the mountainous regions of Alt Urgell and Cerdanya in the Catalan Pyrenees, where milk is produced from cows raised on natural mountain pastures. Since its foundation, the cooperative has specialized in processing milk into butter and cheese, later expanding its portfolio to include a wide range of traditional and modern dairy products. The entire production process is based on the daily collection of fresh milk from its member farms, ensuring full traceability and consistent product quality. Today, Cadí combines more than a century of dairy-making tradition with modern standards of quality, sustainability, and food safety, and in 2025 it became the first dairy cooperative in Spain to achieve B Corp certification, recognizing its commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
