Esther Ortiz Gran Reserva de Familia Petit Verdot is one of the most prestigious wines produced by Campos de Solana, crafted entirely from Petit Verdot grown in the high-altitude vineyards of the Santa Ana Valley near Tarija. The region’s intense sunlight, cool nights, and significant temperature variation allow the variety to develop deep color, pronounced aromatic concentration, and a firm structural backbone.

The wine ages for about two years in French oak barrels, gaining layers of spice and subtle oak tones while retaining freshness and a sense of minerality. The nose and palate are marked by dark berry fruit, black plum, spice, and refined hints of vanilla, tobacco, and mocha.

On the palate, it is full-bodied, with ripe tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, complex finish where fruit, earthy notes, and oak nuances intertwine. The wine demonstrates the potential of Petit Verdot as a varietal expression in Tarija, standing out as an elegant, structured red with excellent aging capacity.
