Herdade de São Miguel Pé de Mãe is a red wine produced by Casa Relvas in the Alentejo region of Portugal, made from traditional Portuguese grape varieties Aragonez, Castelão, and Trincadeira. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected in the vineyard before undergoing fermentation in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperatures and the use of indigenous yeasts.

After fermentation, the wine ages for approximately 18 months in large French oak vats, which contributes to its structure and aromatic complexity while preserving the fruit character. In the glass it shows a bright ruby red color, while the aromatic profile reveals notes of fresh red berries accompanied by subtle floral hints reminiscent of orange blossom and delicate balsamic nuances.

On the palate the wine is balanced and elegant, with smooth, juicy tannins and a lively freshness that enhances its fruit-driven style. The influence of oak remains well integrated, supporting the wine without overshadowing its natural vibrancy.

Pé de Mãe reflects a more refined interpretation of Alentejo reds, combining concentration with finesse. It pairs well with grilled red meats, slow-cooked stews, traditional Portuguese dishes, and aged cheeses.
