Caymus Vineyards was founded in 1972 in Rutherford, the heart of Napa Valley, by Chuck Wagner and his parents, Charlie and Lorna. Named after the historic Rancho Caymus, the winery carries forward the Wagner family’s long tradition of grape growing and deep connection to the land. From the very beginning, Caymus became renowned for its exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon, with the celebrated “Special Selection” cuvée becoming its hallmark.
