Café Mujer Ecológica is an organic coffee produced by the women-led cooperative Cemcavir in the Villa Rica region of central Peru. The beans come from small family farms managed by women growers, with plantations located at elevations of approximately 1,500 to 1,900 meters, an area well suited for cultivating high-quality Arabica coffee.

Production follows ecological principles, avoiding synthetic pesticides and supporting the natural balance and biodiversity typical of the Andean landscape. The coffee is mainly produced from traditional Arabica varieties such as Caturra and Bourbon, and the beans are typically processed using the washed method, which contributes to a clean and balanced cup profile.

In the cup, it usually reveals gentle notes of chocolate, nuts, and subtle fruit tones, combined with medium body and pleasant acidity. This coffee reflects the collective work of the cooperative’s members, who collaborate to process and market their production more effectively within the specialty coffee sector.

The name “Mujer Ecológica” highlights both the role of women in the production process and the commitment to environmentally responsible farming practices. Sales of this coffee help provide more stable incomes for small women producers and support the development of local communities in the Villa Rica region.
