Comte de M from Château Kefraya is one of the estate’s flagship wines, produced from a selection of its finest vineyard parcels in the Bekaa Valley, typically located at higher altitudes around 1,000-1,100 meters. The blend is primarily based on Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, combining structure, depth, and aromatic complexity.
After fermentation, the wine is aged for an extended period in French oak barrels, allowing for the integration of tannins and the development of layered character. Aromatically, it shows dark fruit such as blackberry, plum, and blackcurrant, alongside notes of chocolate, coffee, tobacco, spice, and subtle hints of oak and leather.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and powerful, with smooth, well-integrated tannins and a balanced interplay between fruit and oak. The finish is long, complex, and persistent, marked by dark fruit and spice.
Comte de M is considered a benchmark wine of Lebanese winemaking, with strong aging potential and the ability to gain further depth and elegance over time.
