Chocodate is a brand of chocolate-covered date confections established by Fawaz Masri in Dubai in 1992. It operates within the family-owned food company Notions Global, formerly known as Notions Group. The brand’s core product consists of a whole Arabian date with its pit removed and replaced by a roasted almond. The stuffed date is then fully coated in chocolate and formed into an individual confection. The product combines the soft and naturally sweet texture of the date with a crunchy almond and a firmer outer layer of chocolate. The main varieties are made with milk, dark, or white chocolate. The range also includes coconut, caramel, 85% cocoa, and no-added-sugar versions. Chocodate was developed as a combination of dates associated with the Arabian Peninsula and the internationally familiar format of a chocolate praline. The brand’s products are distributed in approximately 70 countries.
