Cirio is an Italian producer of tomato products founded in 1856 in Turin by Francesco Cirio, one of the pioneers of industrial fruit and vegetable processing through the use of the appertization method. The company specializes in products made from 100% Italian tomatoes and is now part of the agricultural cooperative Conserve Italia, which brings together more than 14,000 growers. Its entire supply chain is based on tomatoes grown in Italy, with full traceability from the field to the finished product. The tomatoes are harvested at full ripeness and processed shortly after harvest to preserve their natural characteristics. The company's portfolio includes tomato passata, whole peeled tomatoes, chopped and crushed tomatoes, tomato puree, tomato paste, ready-made sauces, legumes, olive oils, and vinegars. After more than 165 years of operation, Cirio continues to expand its range of tomato products and other preserved foods while maintaining a focus on Italian-grown ingredients and supply chain traceability.
