Clément Faugier is a French producer of chestnut specialties, founded in 1882 in Privas, in the Ardèche department. The company was established during the decline of the local silk industry, when Clément Faugier began processing chestnuts to make use of an important regional resource and create new employment opportunities. It is regarded as the first French company to organize the large-scale production of marrons glacés while retaining many manual and artisanal stages of the process.
