Confiture Groseille Lotus is an artisanal fruit preserve made by the French producer Confiture Parisienne, combining redcurrants with the delicate aroma of lotus flowers. The recipe is based on a redcurrant jam found in Claude Monet’s cookbook, while the addition of lotus was inspired by his celebrated Nymphéas series. It is produced in Paris in small batches and cooked in copper cauldrons.

The preserve contains 65% fruit and is made with redcurrants, cranberries, lemon, natural lotus flower flavoring, citrus pectin, and unrefined cane sugar. Due to its high fruit content and lower proportion of sugar, the producer classifies it as a fruit preserve rather than a traditional jam.

Confiture Groseille Lotus has a vibrant, gently tart redcurrant flavor complemented by subtle, sweet floral notes of lotus. Its texture is smooth and silky, without pieces of fruit. It can be served with brioche or lightly toasted country bread, paired with fresh cheese or fromage blanc, or used as an accompaniment to simple desserts that allow its fruit-and-floral character to stand out.
