Cortes de Cima is a family-owned winery located in the Vidigueira sub-region of Portugal’s Alentejo wine region, founded by the Danish-American couple Hans and Carrie Jørgensen in the late 1980s. Their journey began in 1988 when they arrived in Portugal while sailing and eventually decided to settle in Alentejo, where they discovered the Cortes de Cima estate and began planting vineyards in 1991.
