Cramele Recaș

Conacul Ambrozy Sauvignon Blanc

4.2 ·

Conacul Ambrozy Sauvignon Blanc from the Cramele Recaș winery is a late-harvest sweet wine made from carefully selected grapes that remain longer on the vine to develop a high concentration of natural sugars and aromas. In certain vintages, the grapes are affected by noble rot, which enhances the wine’s richness and complexity.

The color is an intense golden yellow with amber reflections, characteristic of late-harvest wines. The aroma reveals ripe stone fruit, pear, quince, and melon, accompanied by notes of honey, candied orange peel, and a subtle hint of vanilla.

The palate is full and markedly sweet, yet balanced by a refreshing acidity that prevents the wine from feeling heavy. The texture is rich and almost syrupy, typical of refined dessert wines.

Conacul Ambrozy also shows strong aging potential, gradually developing additional layers of honeyed and caramel nuances over time. Due to its style, it pairs well with aged cheeses, honey-based desserts or desserts with nuts, as well as with foie gras.

It should be served well-chilled, around 6-10 °C, to emphasize freshness and balance the sweetness.
