Boland is a semi-hard cheese produced by Dalewood Fromage, aged for approximately four months and made from pasteurised milk sourced from their own Jersey cows. Inspired by the French Port Salut style, it features a natural rind and a smooth, elastic texture.
Its flavor is well balanced, combining gentle sweetness, creamy notes, and a subtle salinity. The cheese is produced in small batches without artificial colors or preservatives, using carefully controlled maturation to highlight the purity of the milk and the terroir of the Cape Winelands region.
Thanks to its approachable yet full-bodied character, Boland is well suited both for enjoying on its own and for serving on cheese boards, as well as for use in a variety of culinary applications.
