Originating in the historic olive-growing village of Deir Mimas in southern Lebanon, Lebanese Olive Oil Deir Mimas is a high-phenolic extra virgin olive oil produced by Darmmess. Often associated with Lebanon’s finest olive oil tradition, Deir Mimas is also the birthplace of the Darmmess brand.
Made exclusively from early-harvested, unripe Souri olives, the oil reflects one of the region’s oldest indigenous olive varieties. The olives are collected between late September and early October, promptly cold-extracted, and then filtered to preserve the oil’s freshness, stability, and natural polyphenol content. The 2025 harvest received an organoleptic score of 85 out of 100 from a professional tasting panel in Italy.
Its harmonious, medium-intensity profile combines aromas of green olives, freshly cut grass, and ripe tomato. The palate is balanced and refined, with gentle almond-like bitterness followed by a warm, chili-pepper pungency. It is particularly well suited as a finishing oil for hummus, labneh, salads, roasted vegetables, fish, grilled meats, and fresh bread.

Darmmess began as a social enterprise in Deir Mimas, the native village of its foudner, in southern Lebanon, rooted in the preservation of its ancient olive groves and the people who have cared for them for generations.
Since 2025, that mission has expanded along the historic Path of Revelation, supporting smallholder farmers with a particular focus on women and youth, while producing exceptional high-phenolic extra virgin olive oils that bring the character of these unique Mediterranean terroirs to consumers in 15 countries.
Darmmess has grown into a celebration of land, people and provenance, in full traceability and transparency.Its oils are naturally rich in phenolic compounds and antioxidants. Recognized with 25 international awards, Darmmess is now extending its Mediterranean journey beyond Lebanon, including a limited-edition PDO Kalamata oil produced in Greece.
