Lebanese Olive Oil Ebel Es Saqi is a high-phenolic extra virgin olive oil produced by Darmmess, originating from the Ebel Es Saqi terroir in southern Lebanon. It is made in limited quantities from green, unripe Souri olives, one of the region’s oldest traditional olive varieties.
The olives are harvested in early October, and the oil is cold-extracted and filtered to preserve its freshness, stability, and natural polyphenol content. A professional tasting panel in Italy prepares a complete organoleptic and sensory profile for each oil and assigns it a score. The Ebel Es Saqi oil received 95 out of 100 points.
The oil displays pronounced green fruitiness and a complex aromatic profile marked by dark green olives, tomato leaf, freshly cut grass, apple, and a subtle hint of banana. Its initial vegetal bitterness is reminiscent of radish and is followed by pleasant pungency, while the long finish reveals notes of fresh almond and walnut. It is best enjoyed raw as a finishing oil for salads, vegetables, hummus, labneh, soups, fish, grilled meats, and fresh bread.

Darmmess began as a social enterprise in Deir Mimas, the native village of its foudner, in southern Lebanon, rooted in the preservation of its ancient olive groves and the people who have cared for them for generations.
Since 2025, that mission has expanded along the historic Path of Revelation, supporting smallholder farmers with a particular focus on women and youth, while producing exceptional high-phenolic extra virgin olive oils that bring the character of these unique Mediterranean terroirs to consumers in 15 countries.
Darmmess has grown into a celebration of land, people and provenance, in full traceability and transparency. Its oils are naturally rich in phenolic compounds and antioxidants. Recognized with 25 international awards, Darmmess is now extending its Mediterranean journey beyond Lebanon, including a limited-edition PDO Kalamata oil produced in Greece.
