Silex is the most iconic wine of Domaine Didier Dagueneau, produced from vineyard parcels rich in flint around the village of Saint-Andelain, which gives it its distinctive mineral precision and firm structure. The grapes come from old vines planted on soils combining flint, clay, and limestone, resulting in exceptional tension, clarity, and depth - even by the standards of the Pouilly-Fumé appellation.

Its aromatic profile is marked by citrus oils, green apple, white peach, and subtle herbal nuances, all wrapped in a pronounced mineral backbone often described as “smoky” or “flinty”. On the palate, it is linear, focused, and very dry, with vibrant acidity that drives intensity and length.
