Domaines Francis Abécassis is an independent, family-owned cognac producer based in the Charente region, known for its single-estate approach and full control of the production process from vineyard to bottle. The group manages around 460 hectares of vineyards, making it one of the largest independent growers within the Cognac appellation, with a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture and long-term preservation of terroir.
Production is based exclusively on estate-grown Ugni Blanc grapes, using traditional double Charentaise distillation in copper pot stills and extended ageing in Limousin oak casks. Under its umbrella are several distinct cognac houses, including ABK6, Leyrat and Réviseur, each expressing different styles and crus such as Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Fins Bois.
The house philosophy emphasizes purity of fruit, precision, and balance rather than heavy oak influence. Their cognacs are recognized for clarity of origin, structural elegance and consistency.
Today, Domaines Francis Abécassis is regarded as a reference for a modern yet deeply terroir-driven interpretation of cognac.
