Passata di Pomodoro Ciliegino is a traditional Italian tomato passata produced by Duca Carlo Guarini from Ciliegino cherry tomatoes grown on the company's own fields in the Salento area of Apulia. The tomatoes ripen under the Mediterranean sun and are processed shortly after harvest to preserve their natural freshness, aroma, and nutritional qualities. The passata is produced exclusively through pasteurization, without the use of preservatives, and contains only cherry tomatoes and sea salt. Thanks to the naturally high sugar content of the Ciliegino variety, it is characterized by pronounced sweetness, an intense tomato aroma, and a smooth, creamy texture. It is a versatile ingredient for preparing pasta dishes, pizzas, and a wide range of Mediterranean recipes, particularly those that benefit from the rich, naturally sweet flavor of cherry tomatoes.
