Eladion Taxiarches is a small, family-owned producer of extra virgin olive oil from the village of Taxiarches, in the regional unit of Drama, Greek Macedonia. The family’s story began in 1985, when the current producers’ parents planted a small number of olive trees for household use. The grove was expanded more substantially in 2014 with an initial 200 trees, followed by approximately 400 more.

Although they do not come from an agricultural background, the owners became first-generation olive growers and gradually developed their expertise in olive cultivation and oil production. The estate grows numerous Greek and international olive varieties, including Chalkidikis, Koroneiki, Arbequina, Lefkolia Serron, Nemoutiana, Tsounati, Megaron, Picual, Prodromou, and Kalamon. The olives are harvested in mid-October, both by hand and with electric tools, before undergoing cold extraction at temperatures below 27°C. Bottling takes place under controlled conditions, using dark glass bottles that are vacuum-filled and fitted with non-refillable caps.

Eladion Taxiarches remains a limited-production olive oil producer. Its market identity is primarily built around its single-estate origin, early harvesting, high polyphenol content, sustainable approach, and growing collection of international distinctions.
