Finca Piedra Infinita Gravascal is one of the most precise and site-driven wines in the Zuccardi Valle de Uco portfolio, crafted from 100% Malbec sourced from a tiny 0.7-hectare parcel in Paraje Altamira, at around 1,100 meters above sea level. The vineyard is defined by its distinctive alluvial soils, rich in large gravel and granite stones coated with calcium carbonate, which strongly influences the wine’s mineral character and structural tension.
Winemaking follows a minimal intervention approach, with fermentation carried out using native yeasts in concrete vessels and little to no oak influence, allowing for a pure expression of place. The aromatic profile is layered, combining dark berries such as blackberry and blueberry with notes of wild herbs, violet, graphite, and subtle savory nuances.
On the palate, the wine is taut and vertical, with fine-grained tannins and a marked chalky texture that reflects its limestone-rich soils. The style is deliberately restrained and focused, emphasizing precision, freshness, and terroir transparency over power or ripeness.
Produced in very limited quantities, Gravascal represents an extreme interpretation of Altamira’s identity. It stands as a benchmark for contemporary Argentine Malbec, defined by its mineral depth, elegance, and aging potential.
