Fermenteria is an American producer of fermented water kefir based in San Antonio, Texas. The brand was founded by Jade Chang Sheppard and Julie Wood. Development of its commercial recipe began in 2023, while its own brewery and taproom opened in 2024. The idea was inspired by Sheppard’s experience in Nicaragua, where she first tasted a light, naturally sparkling water kefir.
