Époisses AOP from Fromagerie des Marronniers is an authentic French cheese produced on a family farm in the village of Origny, in the heart of Burgundy. It is made from raw cow’s milk from Montbéliarde and Brune des Alpes breeds, which are fed exclusively on dry hay and grass, without the use of silage - an approach that ensures exceptional milk quality and a rich, flavorful cheese. The cheese is hand-molded and aged for a minimum of 29 days, during which it is regularly washed with Marc de Bourgogne, a local Burgundy spirit.

This process gives the cheese its characteristic orange, moist, and sticky rind, intense aroma, and complex, full-bodied flavor that deepens with aging. The interior is smooth, soft, and spreadable, with pronounced milky, fruity, and earthy notes. Époisses from Fromagerie des Marronniers is packaged in traditional wooden boxes and can continue to mature in the refrigerator, further enhancing its flavor profile.

Due to its bold aroma and creamy texture, it is ideal for serving with rustic bread, nuts, and a glass of red Burgundy wine. This cheese embodies the perfect harmony of artisanal craftsmanship, family tradition, and respect for the terroir of the region.
