Fukuchiyo Shuzō is a Japanese sake brewery founded in 1923 in Kashima, Saga Prefecture. It is best known for Nabeshima, a brand launched in 1998 by third-generation brewer Naoki Iimori with the aim of creating a sake the local community could take pride in.

The brewery uses carefully selected rice and water, prepares its kōji by hand, and closely monitors fermentation. Rather than focusing solely on a pronounced aroma or sharpness, it aims for the balanced character it describes as “natural”. The Nabeshima range includes junmai, junmai ginjō, and junmai daiginjō sake, as well as seasonal releases.

Nabeshima is sold in Japan and through distributors abroad. In Kashima, Fukuchiyo Shuzō also introduces visitors to sake, local culture, and cuisine through its gallery and hospitality venue.
