Ghostbird Coffee Company is a Malaysian artisan specialty coffee roastery based in Kuala Lumpur. It was founded by Thomas Ooi in 2015, when the country’s specialty coffee culture was still in its early stages. The name Ghostbird is a direct translation of the Malay term burung hantu, meaning “owl,” and refers to Ooi’s first hospitality venture, The Owls Café.
