Gospodarstvo Roca Pršut 4 Godine is a premium Dalmatian prosciutto made from Black Slavonian pig, also known as Fajferica, and matured for four years at the family-run Roca estate in Velim. It follows the tradition of smoked Dalmatian prosciutto but stands out for its choice of pig breed and significantly longer maturation period.

The prosciutto is produced by traditionally curing a whole pork leg with coarse sea salt. After salting, it is cold-smoked exclusively over hornbeam wood that has been cut and seasoned for at least one year, ensuring that it is thoroughly dried and free from resin. Black Slavonian pork has a relatively high proportion of fat, whose composition supports slow dehydration and maturation. Prosciutto made from this breed is therefore aged for at least three years, while this special version matures for a full four years.

Pršut 4 Godine is characterized by a concentrated mature pork flavor, pronounced yet well-rounded saltiness, and complex smoky aromas. Its extended maturation produces a firm, compact texture, an intense aroma, and fat that gradually melts in the mouth. It is best sliced very thinly and served at room temperature, either on its own or accompanied by olives, homemade bread, mature cheeses, and wine, allowing its long-developed flavors to be fully appreciated.
