Private Reserve Koshu is an elegant white wine from Grace Wine, representing the finest expression of Japan’s indigenous Koshu grape. The fruit comes from carefully selected vineyards in the Toriibira district of Katsunuma, at around 450 meters above sea level, where clay-gravel soils provide excellent drainage and contribute to aromatic complexity.
The grapes are hand-harvested, and every stage of production follows a philosophy of minimal intervention. Fermentation takes place in used French oak barrels, adding roundness and textural depth, while final aging in stainless steel preserves the grape’s purity and freshness.
The color is pale yellow with a subtle silvery hue. On the nose, it reveals aromas of ripe pear, apple, peach, and citrus, along with delicate hints of white pepper, clove, and gentle toast from the oak.
The palate is dry, balanced, and refined, with lively acidity and a mineral finish reminiscent of wet stone and sea breeze. The texture is silky, and the flavor profile is clean and linear.
Private Reserve Koshu combines elegance and depth, making it an ideal match for grilled fish, sushi, sashimi, or soft creamy cheeses. This wine perfectly embodies Grace Wine’s philosophy - a harmony of tradition, precision, and deep respect for the Japanese terroir.
