Hadate Suisan is a family-run seafood producer based in Sawara, in the town of Mori on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido. It specializes in selecting, processing, and packing fresh Kita Murasaki sea urchin. Michinori Hadate started the business in 1963, and the company was formally established in 1986. It is now run by sisters Yoko and Sakiko Hadate, the third generation of the family.
