Halawani Bros is a Saudi food company founded in 1950 in the Al Sham district of Jeddah. It began as a family business specializing in the production of halawa and tahini. Its first and most recognizable product was sesame halawa prepared according to a family recipe. Over the following decades, the company expanded its range to include tahini, maamoul, jams, spreads, processed meats, and other food products. Its first large factory opened in 1962 on Al Mina Road in Jeddah. As the business grew, Halawani Bros developed additional production facilities in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Its operations gradually evolved from a family craft into a modern industrial food production system with an extensive product portfolio. Halawani Bros products are now distributed throughout Saudi Arabia and exported to numerous international markets. The company also operates a branch and distribution warehouse in the Mecca area. Despite its industrial scale, halawa and tahini remain central to the company’s identity. Halawani Bros is distinguished by its long history and significant role in the development of Saudi Arabia’s food industry.
