Mountain Qatad Honey is a natural mountain honey produced by Saudi Arabian brand Hamdan Honey, made predominantly from the nectar of qatad blossoms. Qatad is a wild thorny plant found in the dry valleys and mountainous regions of Saudi Arabia. It is associated with the species Senegalia hamulosa, formerly classified as Acacia hamulosa, which grows naturally across the Arabian Peninsula and in the arid regions of East Africa.

The honey is produced during the qatad plant’s limited flowering season, when beehives are placed near areas where it grows abundantly. Bees collect the nectar and naturally process and store it in the honeycomb. Since other wild plants may flower during the same period, the honey’s composition and sensory characteristics can vary slightly between harvests.

Mountain Qatad Honey has a light to medium amber color, a smooth texture, and a pleasant natural sweetness. Its flavor is generally mild and well-balanced, with subtle floral, herbal, and caramel notes. It can be enjoyed on its own, added to warm beverages after they have cooled slightly, or served with bread, cheese, yogurt, and traditional desserts.
