Little Boy Blue is an award-winning blue cheese made from sheep’s milk, goat’s milk, and mixed milks at the artisanal Hook’s Cheese, located in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. This cheese is inspired by traditional French Roquefort, but the combination of milks gives it a richer and creamier flavor. It is produced from pasteurized sheep’s and goat’s milk sourced from farms in southwestern Wisconsin, including Amish farms.
The milk is collected during the grazing season when the animals feed on lush pastures, contributing to the cheese’s distinctive flavor. Little Boy Blue is aged for about two months, giving it a firm yet creamy texture with mild and sweet notes of grape and honey.
Its rich and complex flavor makes it ideal for enjoying with crackers, in salads, or as an addition to various dishes.
