Icelandic Glacial Natural Spring Water by Icelandic Water Holdings is a still natural spring water sourced from the Ölfus Spring in southwestern Iceland. The spring is primarily replenished by the abundant rainfall and snowmelt characteristic of the region. The water gradually filters through layers of porous volcanic rock for approximately 5,000 years. Despite the brand’s name the water does not come directly from a glacier but from an underground spring formed by precipitation filtering through lava rock. This process contributes to its low mineral content and naturally alkaline character. Its total dissolved solids content is approximately 62 milligrams per liter while its pH reaches around 8.4. Its mineral composition includes small amounts of calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, and other naturally occurring substances. The low mineral content gives the water a mild, clean, and neutral taste without pronounced salty or metallic notes.
