Kakira Dark Rum is a premium spirit from Uganda, meticulously crafted by Kakira Distillery. Distilled from the finest sugar cane grown on the Kakira Sugar Estate in eastern Uganda, this rum benefits from the fertile land and temperate climate along the shores of Lake Victoria, resulting in a complex and aromatic profile.
Handcrafted in pot stills, Kakira Dark Rum is solera-aged for a minimum of five years in casks, including American Bourbon barrels. It is then charcoal filtered and bottled at 40% ABV.
The rum offers rich notes of mocha, dark chocolate, raisin, banana, and honey, making it an excellent base for rum cocktails or for mixing with cola.
