Klosterbräu Schwärzla

4.3 ·

The Bamberger Schwärzla from Klosterbräu Bamberg is a fitting continuation of the 490-year-old brewing tradition of the former prince-bishop's brown beer house. With its deep, dark brown, almost black color, it shows the dark side of the monastery, illuminated only by a light brown, fine-pored head of foam.

The mild effervescence of the distinctly malty beer ensures a velvety mouthfeel. Strong roasted aromas form a harmonious potpourri of dark chocolate, espresso and sweet caramel notes.

A light and balanced bitter note from aromatic hops and a hint of smoke round off the taste profile successfully.
