Blue Mariposa is one of the flagship coffees of L’Arbre à Café and the first coffee produced from the company’s own farm, Finca Mariposa, located in the Junín region of Peru. Grown at an altitude of around 1,900 meters, this 100% Arabica coffee is cultivated according to biodynamic and agroecological principles and carries Demeter certification.

It is produced from Catigua and Obata varieties and undergoes a fermentation process inspired by winemaking techniques, followed by careful drying on raised beds. The coffee is known for its smooth and elegant profile, offering notes of white chocolate, yellow fruits, and fresh almond, complemented by a creamy texture and long finish.

Blue Mariposa represents the realization of founder Hippolyte Courty’s ambition to become not only a roaster but also a coffee producer. The project began in 2018 with the acquisition of high-altitude land in Peru, which was transformed into a 35-hectare biodynamic plantation.

Today, Blue Mariposa is considered one of the brand’s most important products, showcasing the unique character of Finca Mariposa and L’Arbre à Café’s commitment to sustainable farming, traceability, and exceptional coffee quality.
