Lisini Brunello di Montalcino is a classic, traditionally styled wine that reflects the character of the southern part of the appellation, around Sant’Angelo in Colle. It is produced exclusively from Sangiovese Grosso grown on well-exposed vineyards with clay-limestone soils that favor full ripening and structural depth.

Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks, followed by long aging in large Slavonian oak casks, in line with the estate’s traditional philosophy and without heavy oak influence. The wine shows aromas of ripe red cherry, plum, dried herbs, earth, and subtle mineral notes.

On the palate it is firm and structured, with well-defined tannins, lively acidity, and a long, balanced finish. The style is serious and restrained rather than opulent, built for aging and gradual development in bottle.

Over time, it gains complexity with savory, leathery, and tertiary nuances. Lisini’s Brunello di Montalcino is widely regarded as a benchmark example of a classical, terroir-driven expression of southern Montalcino.
